HG Life Sciences Fund (HGLSF) provides finance to businesses at all stages of development and across the human life sciences sector. These sectors range from biotechnology & pharmaceuticals to medical devices & instruments, to healthcare information technology and services.

HG currently advises or manages HGLSF and other funds with capital commitments of approximately $1.5 billion which primarily invest amounts of between $1M and $20M in North America, Europe but will consider innovative investments in CIS Countries. Investment Strategy

HG Life Sciences Fund investment strategy is focused upon four sectors within the human life sciences industry; biotechnology/biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare services and healthcare information technology.

Geographically, HGLSF funds concentrate their investment into businesses based in North America and Western Europe, but will consider investment opportunities in other regions, where there is a well-developed life sciences sector.

HGLSF focuses on investments in companies with a very high quality management team and a business model that could provide a strong increase in value, often with a key technology or technologies protectable by law which allows the business to be developed shielded from competition. They may occupy a strong, preferably proprietary position in a large or niche market or may have an early position in a fast growing market.
